Best Touch Screen Laptops in 2019

in today's we're going to check

out the top five touchscreen laptops in

2019 I made this list face to my

personal opinion and I try to list them

based on their price quality durability.

at number 5 is the Dell

XPS 13 90 380 the Dell XPS 13 90 380 has

some refinements on its last year model

with some tweaks and upgrades providing

an excellent overall laptop that's

lightweight and portable it looks to be

your travel buddy for years to come

Dell quality will never disappoint you

it is everything that a laptop should

have and essentially what every laptop

should strive to be design why is there

are not really any differences between

the 2019 and 2018 version it's still 11

point 6 millimeters thick and just one

thousand two hundred and thirty grams

light even the lid looks the same

however there are two new color schemes

added to the lineup besides the rose

gold the frost silver and the arctic

white each of them looks amazing with

the anodized aluminium finish it even

gives it a near pearlescent look the

Dell XPS 13 9380 has an amazing near

bezel list display as a result of its

infinity edge design it's available in

4k or Full HD resolution with

touchscreen capabilities the 4k display

with 13.3 inch screen looks amazing and

can reproduce about a hundred percent to

the srgb color gamut making it one of

the best laptop displays around on top

of that it can achieve a brightness of

413 CD per meter square which is equally

impressive also Dell has implemented an

interesting technology in its XPS series

the tinkers with the display settings

depending on what your screen is in the

performance Department the XPS 13 9380

is equipped with Intel's new whiskey

Lake chips the core i7 85 60 5u CPU with

16 gigabytes RAM and storage of one

terabyte PCIe SSD performance enough to

handle everything you can throw at it

easily whatever it is this that

won't lag behind in the synthetic

benchmark tests measuring general

performance it's achieved amazing

numbers you know became the average with

ease and was up there with the best

battery life was not an issue for this

laptop as it a verge de round 8 hours of

battery I through the testing which

means it'll last you throughout the

workday with ease all of this means that

this laptop is suited for everybody but

I would recommend it mostly for the

frequent traveler because of its

Portability and amazing battery life add

on before it's the Lenovo ThinkPad x1

carbon the definite best laptop for

office Twila's that require

high-performing machines is the Lenovo

ThinkPad x1 carbon it comes with high

performance specs and amazing battery

capacity built into a slim and

attractive carbon-fiber body it's not

difficult to see why this machine is the

first choice with office trailers with

demanding jobs with each combination of

minimalistic design and business

friendly features the ThinkPad series is

known for making it ideal for a

corporate device the ThinkPad x1 carbon

has certainly raised the bar sky high

with business laptops the powerful and

sweet design of this laptop is ideal for

corporate life the case of the laptop is

nearly identical to its predecessor

being really light and sturdy with a

combination of hybrid magnesium alloy

for the base of the unit and a

carbon-fiber reinforced plastic for the

lid which has passed many durability

tests such as extreme temperature shock

and vibrations the laptop as thin as the

Lenovo ThinkPad x1 carbon has a lot of

ports that could easily get you through

the day with ease the Lenovo ThinkPad x1

carbon is packed with a 14-inch 1920 by

1080 touch panel with vibrant colors and

sharp details definitely one of the best

screens that I've seen on a laptop hands

down on this display the colors really

pop up creating extraordinarily

impressive visuals that are realistic

and accurate the brightness rating blew

the competition away with 469 nits on

the light meter it's armed with a quad

core Intel Core i5

8250 u CPU with 8 gigabytes of RAM and

512 gigabytes of SSD it handled all the

tests with remarkable results and in

daily use it's perfectly smooth in the

Geekbench for overall performance test

its

as strong 13,000 173 the graphics are

integrated but are pretty good that you

can play low end games with ease and

everybody deserves a little fun battery

life is amazing it lasted a strongly 11

hours in moderate use which should get

you by in your workday if you're on the

hunt and can afford it the Lenovo

ThinkPad x1 carbon is the perfect

touchscreen laptop for business settings

at number three it's the HP spectre x360

13 T HP Spectre series has done solidly

for people through the years and the X

360 has provided an amazing hybrid

option but with its premium price point

it certainly doesn't appeal to the

average consumer the new and improved HP

Spectre x-360 with its new design and

minor performance improvements looks to

leave a mark in its category for years

to come HP is given the gem cut nickname

- the spectre x360 and they're

absolutely right everything on this

laptop is shaped to reflect light from

every possible angle everything has an

angular pattern making the device look

more like a gem than an electronic this

is an exotic design which adds to its

premium class its competition in the

ultra portable market all look kind of

the same simple and minimalistic it has

a thickness of 0.5 7 inches and a weight

of 2.9 - pounds the spectre x360 13 T is

packed with intel's low-power 1 watt

full HD touchscreen display used in the

HP Spectre folio it's an amazing display

but at the same time it provides

improved battery life the display

provides excellent 10:42 1 contrast a

decent brightness of 333 nits and has a

73% color character the Adobe RGB

Garrett all this means that display is

pretty good for leisure and productivity

providing a sharp picture and cut colors

however it's not enough for designers

and other professionals that need better

colors respect to X 360 is equipped with

the latest Intel whiskey Lake 8th

generation Core i7 85 65 u processor

that makes this laptop of powerful

performer while also being efficient on

battery the ultra portable has an

exceptional thermal management an issue

with HP struggle to keep and control

previously in the synthetic benchmark

test it's achieved pretty good results

close to its competitors

battery life has been reported to be

twenty two and a half hours by HP while

that can be true with continuous video

streaming in actual use it can average

also an impressive 12 hours between

charges HP is also included a pen in the

package which can be used for drawing on

the screen performing very well in all

categories it's a very solid ultra

portable with beautiful lines a

near-perfect ultraportable a number two

it's the Microsoft Surface laptop -

generally the sequels are not as good as

the originals but the Microsoft Surface

laptop - breaks from that tradition it's

better than the surface laptop one which

is also a great laptop while it doesn't

feature very apparent design changes

it's definitely the best Windows 10

experience when it comes to looks the

service laptop 2 is definitely marvelous

with its clean lines and perfectly

rounded edges everything is very smooth

and sanitary with its metal body coming

in at just one point two five kilograms

it's one of the lightest as well it'll

easily fit into backpacks and won't put

a strain on your back it's deck is

covered with Alcantara suede like

microfiber that's very pleasant to the

touch and it provides amazing comfort

something which is rare on laptops

however this design is a dust and

fingerprint magnet so I would recommend

you carry a microfiber cloth in your

backpack to clean it quickly the

Microsoft Surface laptop 2 is equipped

with a 13.5 inch LCD touchscreen

complete for the pixel Sense technology

it supports a native resolution of 20

256 by 1504 pixels in the 3 - 2 aspect

ratio the color temperature on this

display is a little on the warmer side

but not far from the sweet spot it can

achieve about 318 it's a brightness and

it reproduces 93.1%

of the srgb color gamut all these stats

mean that this laptop can produce an

amazing image and in my experience it

didn't disappoint I was very pleased

with the picture as it was very lively

and warm the colors were vivid and

accurate and the details were amazing in

terms of performance it's pretty

standard for its category coming in with

a quad core of 1.7 gigahertz Intel Core

i5

8250 you CPU with 8 gigabytes of ddr3

RAM and 512 gigabytes of SSD

these specs have believed in exceptional

results as the surface laptop to rekt

every task in its path and it can handle

some light gaming with ease every

feature that I mentioned and lots that I

did not prove that this laptop is the

productivity workhorse that Microsoft

claims it is and at number one it's the

Microsoft Surface pro 6 2 in 1 laptops

are becoming more attractive than ever

now packing amazing performance sleek

and slim designs and gorgeous displays

what's not to love Microsoft has put on

its weight in this market with a new

Microsoft Surface pro 6 it's pretty

beautiful and slick with performance to

back it up it's a go-to choice if you

really want a two-in-one it's a really

gorgeous laptop with a new black color

scheme it looks fantastic coming in at

just 0.33 inches thin and a weight of

1.7 pounds it's also quite portable the

touchscreen display the laptop measures

twelve point three inches diagonally

with a resolution of 27 36 by 1824

translating into 267 PPI when you're

watching a movie you'll instantly see

that it's a pretty decent display while

there's also a tempered glass for

protection videos look clear and sharp

with vivid colors and decent contrast

the type covered dork of the tablet

features a full QWERTY layout with

function keys and a trackpad even loaded

are mentions of the keyboard or cramped

the general typing experience is pretty

decent so while there might be a few

mistakes it's acceptable with this size

the trackpad is very responsive and

sensitive and pretty well built the

surface pro 6 comes equipped with 8

gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of

storage it performed well for its class

in benchmark tests proving to be very

versatile and functional throughout the

Microsoft Surface pro 6 has an excellent

battery life of up to nine hours of

moderate use meaning it'll easily go to

the office without a charger when tested

with power mark to simulate 10 minutes

of browsing and 5 minutes of streaming

it's gotten a result of 7 hours and 55

minutes it takes about 2 hours to charge

a laptop to full from a drained battery

the Microsoft Surface pro 6 is an

amazing two-in-one that will cover all

your needs for some office work the

surface pro 6 will prevail and if you

want to relax in your commute back home

high quality it's not

an issue for this laptop this is the

Best Laptops for Students.. and anyone on a budget

if there's one thing we know about

school here at Linus media group it's

that things should be left until the

very last second so here is a laptop

roundup for back-to-school that is

dropping days before school starts

speaking of that the last minute if you

wanted to instantly see your current and

past Network activity you should check

out glassware, you can detect malware

block badly behaving apps on your PC or

Android devise and you can use offer

code Linus to get 25 percent off at the

link below

[Music]

so our first category for our top five

sort of here is the budget machine being

a student is pretty much synonymous with

not having disposable income or at least

not having any leftover after your

shopping carts full of ramen noodles and

your binge drinking so what's the best

the way than to get something that is

functional enough on the cheap you might

think that you want a Chromebook but you

don't yes 90% or even 95% of the time

it'll work fine but that other five to

ten percent well let's just say that no

one is going to be clamoring to be in a

a study group with you like having to use

the online version of Microsoft Office

or MATLAB

is functional for the most part but in

the end you'll have wasted a lot of time

just getting to where everyone else

started so with that out of the way

let's talk about what you should look

To get the best value we can't be

too picky about the exact model but

eight gigs of ram and an SSD are both

must these days and as for the CPU well

per core, performance hasn't changed much

in the last couple of years so any dual

a  core is gonna do us pretty nicely but

power efficiency has so look for a sixth

or seventh generation intel on sale we

ended up finding a dell Inspiron 15.6

inch that met our requirements for 95

bucks off at Best Buy that's under $300

so if we were to grab that and slap this

$35 SSD in it we're sitting pretty if

you've got a bit more to spend though

we'd recommend the surface go it's super

small and unlike previous costs down

surfaces like the RT it runs full-fat

Windows 10 for when you need it now it

isn't the fastest little laptop or the

cheapest but for $600 including their

touch cover keyboard the surface go is

hard to beat it's got an excellent

screen it's got a touch screen it's got

solid battery life and it's got a pretty

the good little keyboard on it with little

of course, being the operative word so

it's got everything is

NEADS and if you grab an optional stylus

for it, it is fantastic for taking notes

in tablet mode the next step up from

there is to go from the small and

portable surface go to the slightly

larger but also very portable LG Graham

with a great IPS display for watching

movies a decent amount of power coming

from its quad-core processor and heaps a

the battery life you can leave your power

brick at home without worrying about

locating a plug later on in the day the

socking lightness of the ground will

also, have your back thanking you for not

getting that gaming laptop though with

that said if you are a hardcore gamer

and you can't rely on a secondary cheap

desktop for your fix we do still have

some options for you here first up then

is the Acer Nitro 5 coming in at $800

this guy packs some serious punch with a

4 core Core i5 that goes up to 4

gigahertz and a gtx 1050 TI this thing

can handle basically any game on the

the market as long as you don't expect to

crank up the in-game settings

alongside this one is also the Dell g3

which has pretty much the same specs but

it'll cost a bit more with the benefit

being that you don't have to go to

meetings carrying around the flashy er

nitro 5 which is probably enough to sell

this thing to a lot of people finally if

the 1050 Ti

doesn't quite have the grunt that you're

looking for then the GTX 1060 in the

predator Helios 300 is available for not

much more than those - all three of

these devices are highly recommended

assuming though that you don't mind

trading some battery life for

performance now everything up until now

has had its nice little niche carved out

for it but what if you're looking for

the all-rounder laptop power portability

battery life and style well my friend

then you are looking for the Dell XPS 15

with a quad-core CPU a gtx 1050 one of

the best keyboards in the biz not to

mention an awesome screen the XPS 15 is

maybe the most

laptop e laptop ever like there isn't a

the whole lot that you can point at and say

is really special about it unless you

opt for the two-in-one version but

everything that it does it does to near

perfection that is as long as you don't

need to be on lots of conference calls

because of the webcam kind of looks up your

nose so that's it for what's in front of

me but in response before you say the

Linus the only way to get laid in

college is with an Apple logo first of

all that's not entirely correct but if

you have to have an Apple laptop we will

still, tell you which one's the best one

to pick in our opinion frankly you're an

idiot if you buy the MacBook Air before

it gets it's rumored refresh because of it

currently rocks a 5th gen processor when

almost everything else on the market has

moved on to 8th gen the MacBook isn't

too bad but it is still a processor

the generation behind and as for the MacBook

Pro well the one without the touch bar

is behind the times meaning that if you

must have a Mac we're gonna recommend

the MacBook Pro 13-inch with an 8th gen

Intel chip it's got the best touchpad

around and it's got a great screen

though we are still annoyed that you're

paying that much money for a laptop

without a touchscreen I personally find

that a touchscreen makes a much bigger

difference than you might expect

speaking of expectations you are

probably expecting a word from our

sponsor Squarespace you can create a

How To Make Any Laptop Touch Screen!

When he grabbed his crotch, people lost their minds.

He Did WHAT?!

He TOUCHED THERE?!

I think we got a cool one today - this thing here, it's called the Airbag

Apparently, this device right here attaches to any laptop and turns the screen

into a touchscreen.

Any laptop!

So it comes in a few different sizes,

This one right here is for a 15.6-inch laptop

Something in that neighborhood

It looks like there's one available for 14, 13, as well as 11.

Plugin. Hard to miss.

Jack, when you plugin, is it hard to miss?

Touch. Just go crazy.

Is there an innuendo happening here?

There's something romantic about this.

Your finger, or with gloves, and even a paintbrush.

WHAT?!

Enhanced User Experience. Pinch, sweep, zoom and scroll.

It works with most notebooks.

Running Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Chrome OS.

Okay, we have a f***ing MacBook here.

Do you think it'll work?

Let's give it a shot. Let's give it a shot.

Alright, so... line it up.

Oh!

Is it me or did that just...?

OH!

WOAH!

The screen is a touchscreen now!

Woooooooah!

That's a touchscreen MacBook Pro!

Now the question is: how precise is this?

It's close but,

Maybe if we move it a bit that way.

Oh, that's better.

It's just a matter of lining it up correctly for your display.

But that, my friends, is a touchscreen.

Let's try and play a video.

The precision is not exactly what I would call pin-point,

(giggles)

GET IT!

It's fine for hitting icons that are huge,

But if you're trying to get in on something that's really small,

It is quite frustrating actually.

Now keep in mind the product officially on the back,

States the compatibility.

Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Chrome OS.

In my experience the drivers that exist,

generally speaking for items like this, accessories like this,

Can function on Mac OS, sometimes maybe, with a little bit less polish

I've got Pixelmator open.

This'll tell us how close it is to the actual tap point.

What's going on here?

WOAH!

Oh, so that's not working?

Does work, which is cool, but this is the point of the video where you cut and you go:

"Okay, got a PC laptop now, let's see what the difference is."

Okay, got a PC laptop now, let's see what the difference is!

I can tell right away when I line up the Airbag,

That fit is PRECISE!

So I'm gonna remove the little sticky parts.

These little white lines fit perfectly

When you lift this off, you'll see the little tiny magnets stay there

When you put those magnets on and fold this down, it works, as you'd expect.

But then, when you wanna use the Airbag,

It just drops on to the right position.

You wanna, apparently, have

a little tiny gap

above the edge of the Airbag.

Windows found a driver - this is Windows 7 Pro.

It found a driver, apparently.

Oh, this is WAY better than on the MacBook.

Way, way better.

Oh, it's banging on precise.

It's super precise.

Let's see if I can grab the little scroll over here.

WOW!

It's not even comparable to the other one.

I don't think that has to do with the software,

that's the thing, I think if this company made one,

That was the exact form factor of the MacBook display,

Something tells me...

OH! They just launched YouTube Rewind!

You never know you might see you...

Your old pal Lew in there!

Oh! Look it even realizes I might want touch input.

As well, for the text.

Let's open up paint here.

OOOH, BABY!

Let's do a little Jack Attack™ here!

There he is - Mr. Pixel Jack™!

Lotta ear.

He's also been working out so he's a little more buff than usual.

Those are his muscles right there.

That...

That's A Hundred Per. That's like a proper touchscreen!

I hope you're getting that!

That's very beyond my expectations for precision.

Not functioning so well on a MacBook Pro,

But that's not what it's designed for so who cares?

Here, in windows,

Bang-on precision, you can see the size of trying to hit

an X, let's see this little X right here...

BOOM!

And it's not like you're completely committed to it, I like the way they designed it in the sense of

"You wanna get rid of it? Okay! BOOM."

I think this thing's pretty cool.

I can see a number of different circumstances in which,

touch could be a cool thing to experiment with.

Maybe for artistic endeavors.

IT'S A TOUCHSCREEN!

For any laptop.

Look at it - that's all it takes.

socking lightness of the ground will

also, have your back thanking you for not

getting that gaming laptop though with

that said if you are a hardcore gamer

and you can't rely on a secondary cheap

desktop for your fix we do still have

some options for you here first up then

is the Acer Nitro 5 coming in at $800

this guy packs some serious punch with a

4 core Core i5 that goes up to 4

gigahertz and a gtx 1050 TI this thing

can handle basically any game on the

the market as long as you don't expect to

crank up the in-game settings

alongside this one is also the Dell g3

which has pretty much the same specs but

it'll cost a bit more with the benefit

being that you don't have to go to

meetings carrying around the flashy er

nitro 5 which is probably enough to sell

this thing to a lot of people finally if

the 1050 Ti

doesn't quite have the grunt that you're

looking for then the GTX 1060 in the

predator Helios 300 is available for not

much more than those - all three of

these devices are highly recommended

assuming though that you don't mind

trading some battery life for

performance now everything up until now

has had its nice little niche carved out

for it but what if you're looking for

the all-rounder laptop power portability

battery life and style well my friend

then you are looking for the Dell XPS 15

with a quad-core CPU a gtx 1050 one of

the best keyboards in the biz not to

mention an awesome screen the XPS 15 is

maybe the most

laptop e laptop ever like there isn't a

the whole lot that you can point at and say

is really special about it unless you

opt for the two-in-one version but

everything that it does it does to near

perfection that is as long as you don't

need to be on lots of conference calls

because of the webcam kind of looks up your

nose so that's it for what's in front of

me but in response before you say the

Linus the only way to get laid in

college is with an Apple logo first of

all that's not entirely correct but if

you have to have an Apple laptop we will

still, tell you which one's the best one

to pick in our opinion frankly you're an

idiot if you buy the MacBook Air before

it gets it's rumored refresh because of it

currently rocks a 5th gen processor when

almost everything else on the market has

moved on to 8th gen the MacBook isn't

too bad but it is still a processor

the generation behind and as for the MacBook

Pro well the one without the touch bar

is behind the times meaning that if you

must have a Mac we're gonna recommend

the MacBook Pro 13-inch with an 8th gen

Intel chip it's got the best touchpad

around and it's got a great screen

though we are still annoyed that you're

paying that much money for a laptop

without a touchscreen I personally find

that a touchscreen makes a much bigger

difference than you might expect

speaking of expectations you are

probably expecting a word from our

A REAL Back to School Laptop Guide

okay so it's back-to-school time and

you're gonna see a lot of videos on

YouTube of these back to school laptop

guides keep in mind that some of it is

endorsed content so just be aware of

what you're watching but also if you're

looking at stuff and you're seeing a

recommendation of a back-to-school

device and it's like a three or four

thousand dollar gaming laptop like you

know something's wrong so in front of me

our more realistic options these are all

reasonably well priced and before we get

into the individual things I want to

talk about just two kind of important

things to keep in mind when it comes to

purchasing a back-to-school device

number one value is really important

like student debt is no joke you want to

keep these things as inexpensive as

possible and you're probably gonna be

looking at used or refurbished stuff for

the best possible value there's some new

stuff here as well but often times

you're gonna get the best value when it

comes to older older devices secondly

are just the idea of gaming laptops I

cover a lot of gaming laptops my channel

they're awesome but for most people

they're not the best kind of

back-to-school device they're bigger

they're thicker they're heavier like

everything about them is they're not

meant for travel like especially for

battery life if you need to bring this

thing to school and run between

different classes before you bring it

back home you're gonna bring the AC

adapter with you it's just a lot more

weight than stuff that's designed for

portability okay I'm gonna start with

like the cheap of stuff and then work up

from there so the cheapest device I have

here is this this is the Acer Aspire 5

this is incredibly well valued for the

price tag there's a $300 AMD version and

a $350 Intel version these are both

really good options for the money you

get a solid keyboard you get a decent

screen good trackpad like the processing

power and I mean that you would need in

a kind of laptop package is done very

well at this price point it's not

perfect right the screen isn't super

bright I wish it was a little bit

brighter but it's hard to complain about

that for 300 bucks

this device is shockingly good for the

money it honestly makes me feel like

they're making like 50 bucks at most on

each device bizarre how cheap they can

sell this thing for okay secondly or the

next devices that I'd want to talk about

are the six to $700 devices now the

biggest difference between these and

$300 Easter just mentioned is mostly

going to be durability and just build

quality these are just better made the

first one up is the XPS 13 this is the

newest model but the one I'd actually

recommend is the 9350 from 2015 and 2016

carbon fiber deck with a good keyboard

good trackpad and it's just a really

solid device overall it's a reason why

it's such a popular device over the

years you can get that thing on Amazon

and eBay for around six hundred seven

hundred bucks pretty solid pick up the

other one that I like in this pile is

the Acer Swift three this is a new

device and they did a great job with it

the one weakness I would say is actually

the keyboard and this would affect

people that are buying stuff like this

for back-to-school the keyboard is a lot

softer than I'd like it's definitely

something you get used to the layouts

fine it's just that the responsiveness

of the keys is not as good as the other

devices in this kind of price point but

good overall device next up this is

actually my favorite of the bunch this

is actually crazy that they're getting

this at this price right now this is the

surface laptop wall this is the surface

laptop too but the one I'm talking about

is a surface laptop one you can get that

for six hundred and thirty bucks on

Amazon right now and it is such a good

value at that price point fantastic

keyboard great screen and for the people

that want it it has pen support which is

great for students this is my favorite

of the bunch at that price point like

when this thing launched it was way more

expensive than 630 bucks so yeah a great

device for the money last one is the

Asus options they have a Zen book 13 Zen

book 14 I've reviewed both of those I

reviewed all of these on my channel so

you want details a link them below but

this is also available for around 650

bucks it is a really solid machine and

if you want you can configure it with an

MX 150 which is a more powerful GPU all

four of these devices though are just

really solid I feel like you can't go

wrong with any of them my personal

favorite is that surface laptop just

because I feel like for students with

that really nice battery life and

keyboard it hits all the things that I

would want as a student alright once you

get past that $700 price point you start

getting closer to a thousand bucks and

once you're at like nine hundred

thousand dollars you can get some really

good stuff the first thing if you're

interested if you're someone that really

wants a MacBook the MacBook that would

recommend right now for students is

without a doubt

the MacBook Air the only other option

that you might be considering is the

MacBook Pro 13 which is around 200 bucks

more than the MacBook Air but the

biggest thing you're getting with the

pro is just stronger processing power

most people don't need it if you're a

developer and you're you know that's the

stream you're going in then sure

absolutely get the MacBook Pro because

the processor is more capable for

development but for most people

MacBook Air is the option if you want to

go with Apple's MacBooks okay

another device in that thousand dollar

price point right now is the XPS 95/60

this is probably my favorite of all the

devices I've mentioned in this video

this thing retailed for like fifteen

sixteen hundred dollars a couple years

ago it's now available for 950 bucks on

Amazon this has a huge battery 97 watt

hours a very powerful system upgradable

Ram SSD the whole package is really

solid it's got a nice screen carbon

fiber deck solid keyboard if you're

looking for a more premium laptop at a

fairly reasonable price I would

definitely check this thing out it's

again a refurb option but it's got the

whole Amazon refurb things you can send

it back for ninety days or something

like that it's a solid option okay I

have not mentioned many two-in-one

devices any tuned one devices until now

so I personally don't enjoy using two

and one devices all that much but if I

had to pick one as just like a universal

recommendation it would definitely be

the surface pro devices these feels so

much better to me than any other

manufacturers attempt at some kind of

hybrid or to in one device there's

something about just the way these

things feel in your hand like they just

feel like actual functional tablets any

of the screens that flip on to the

backside of it like they just don't feel

nearly as enjoyable and as inviting to

use so the surface pro has my top pick

there's another variant of the cheaper

surface go which has a much smaller

screen I feel like a 10-inch screen for

like a daily kind of everyday school

device is probably not the best option

but it's definitely usable as like a

secondary device okay let's talk about

gaming laptops to wrap this up now I

said before unless you can actually use

the processing power or the graphical

power of these devices I would stray

away from them just because you're just

you know you're paying more for stuff

that doesn't really care

well to traveling and stuff like that

alright there's two devices that stick

out to me as being the best value on the

market right now when it comes to kind

of sub $1000 price point first is the

legion y 530 or Y 540 I've done reviews

for both of those these are the Lenovo

entry level gaming laptop very solid and

there's also the Acer nitro 5 so this is

around

I think these start at 600 bucks if you

look at last year's model but the

current version is around 900 bucks

these are both solid I would say in

terms of just raw value nitro 5 is

better but because of how just plain the

légion devices are I much prefer the

design aesthetic look if you're pulling

this out in class I don't know there's

something about the nitro 5s red that

just pops out a little bit more but the

légion it looks pretty clean now if your

budget allows for it and if you can

somehow trick your parents into buying a

gaming laptop that's a little bit more

expensive the predator Helios 300 from

2019 is a great value but it's still a

very expensive machine so that basically

wraps up this video now I didn't go into

detail on every single one of these I've

done reviews for every single one of

these devices if you find one that's

interesting to you you can check out the

links below but keep in mind that some

of them are of limited quantity so if

you're interested in something you

probably won't pick it up sooner than

later but that basically wraps up this

video I hope you guys enjoyed it I hope

you guys do well in school like good

luck in your school year hope you guys

picked up some kind of device that is of

appropriate price and yeah thumbs if you

liked it subsidy loved it

see you guys next time

The World's Most Powerful Laptop!

Hey, how's it going? Dave2D here! This is something very special from Acer, it's the Predator 21X.

So this box has a laptop in it. It's huge.

It's the biggest, it's the heaviest, it's the most expensive laptop in the world.

And I normally don't unbox things, but because this one's kinda special,

I'd thought I'd share the experience with you.

This is so big.

I don't know why they needed such a large box.

*Wow.*

Okay.

Oh my f***... this is so heavy!

*Laughing.*

Oh my god.

Okay.

I gotta see this, I gotta see what it looks like.

Okay, this is surprisingly heavy. I knew it would be heavy, but this heavier than I thought it would be.

Okay.

Now I'm going to put this aside for just two seconds, while I look at the inside.

Let's see what else is in here.

This looks like a weapons case like if I like, went to a weapons dealer,

and he showed me what I was going to buy, this is what it would look like.

What is this?!

Cool.

We have a trackpad.

Oh, it's got a number pad on the bottom. But it's like a trackpad/number pad.

Okay, you must be able to switch that in and out.

You get...

...pamphlets.

Oh no, it's keyed. Aghh, this is so cool!

Okay, I'm assuming this has removable WASD keys.

And a removable space bar, maybe for, like, I don't know, we'll see.

That's pretty cool.

I should take this stuff out, 'cause what I'm going to--plug it up in a minute.

We get two very large AC adapters to power this thing.

I want to see what this looks like on the inside.

'Cause this is special.

Holy smokes, you could get a serious workout just lifting this thing...

...all the time.

Ohh... kay.

I love the blue keys. This keyboard-- it's so weird!

Seeing this type of keyboard in a laptop. Like this is like your regular desktop keyboard.

And it's a mechanical-- I think it's mechanical.

Feels...

It could be like a... a Cherry Brown, or like a Brown switch?

This feels like a really nice keyboard, and it's weird to have this kind of key travel and this type of tactility.

On a laptop? Are you kidding me?!

Okay, this is cool.

I thought this would be a sticker, but it's not. This looks like it's, like, painted right in.

Okay, look at this.

Limited edition, 17 out of 300. That's pretty cool.

Okay, this shows you how you can use...

...this thing.

So you can... okay I get it.

So you just plug it up.

Oh, it's magnetic!

Ohh!

That satisfying click.

Does it come out? Okay, and you can just flip it.

When you want number pad,

and when you want...

...trackpad.

Okay, I need to boot this up.

Now I didn't go through the exterior features while I opened this,

because quite frankly, I was, like, super excited to just boot it up and see it.

But now that I've looked at this for a second, the build quality is so good,

there's no play or flex on any parts of this laptop.

The screen is probably one of the most unique features on this thing,

and it's a curved screen, and I've never actually used a gaming laptop that had a curved screen.

This might be the first one of its existence.

The whole reason why you have curved screens is to give you that extra level of immersion in games.

But the color accuracy and brightness on this thing are fantastic.

The other thing that's really cool is that it's a refresh rate of 120Hz.

Games are going to look really good on this thing.

My only suggestion if you happen to be one of the 300 people that get one of these,

is to do this to your keys.

It's perfect, now it's, like, customized to the way that your hand naturally rests.

There's an eye-tracking thing down here, I've never been a user of Tobii eye-tracking.

I've seen people, like, play games directly off of this, but I've never tried it myself.

So... it says caution over here, but I'm going to crack it open.

I should power this down.

Okay, we're going in.

I'm curious to see what's inside this thing.

Uhhhhhhhh, am I giving this too much pressure?

I mean, it's *only* $9,000.

Aghh, it's coming apart, yes! We're in.

Hard drive.

2 RAM sticks.

I'm going to see underside now.

Four M2 slots, two more sticks of RAM, WiFi card.

So the inside's pretty simple to access if you need to get in there.

So you're able to run a lot of storage on this thing.

5 drive bays, you probably won't need any kind of external storage.

The Predator 21X uses two AC adapters, each one of these is 330 watts, it's a lot of juice going through here.

And they both connect into this rubber housing, which kinda keeps it in one package.

I'm going to port some specs, I'm not going to go into too much detail, but this is as loaded as a laptop gets.

It's beyond impressive.

In terms of the speakers, they don't sound bad, but I think for a laptop this size,

I had unrealistic expectations, I kinda thought it would sound amazing.

They do get louder than your average laptop, though.

The SLI GTX 1080s are incredibly powerful.

This is the stuff that dream desktops are made of, and then when you put it into a laptop form,

it becomes even crazier.

I ran some benchmarks, just to see how it would compare,

it performs like a crazy powerful desktop, it's insane how much horsepower this thing has.

Alright, I want to play some games. Let's put this thing to the test.

The framerate on this thing is fricking amazing.

One thing I just noticed, the fan noise when you're idling is surprisingly quiet.

I thought this thing would be significantly louder because it's a pretty powerful processor.

But even when you're playing games, if you're on the default mode, it's pretty quiet.

ah

The external temperatures are very comfortable, even when you're playing games.

When I'm running benchmarks, there is some thermal throttling on the default mode.

But if you crank up the fans, that throttling disappears, and you can overclock it pretty generously.

I don't know if the mic will pick it up, but the fans are on full tilt right now, and it's loud.

Obviously this is a very powerful laptop, but whether or not it's worth it,

chances are if you're watching this video, and you're kinda wondering whether or not you should buy it,

this is not for you.

But, if you want to live the dream, and you have the money for this thing, this thing is incredible.

Amazing performance, amazing device, limited edition, pretty cool.

I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Thumbs if you liked it, subs if you loved it! I'll see you guys next time.
